- Flash Memory
The VIXIA HF R10 allows you to record up to 3 hours of crisp high definition video to a 8GB internal flash drive or to a removable SD memory card. With Relay Recording, the camcorder automatically switches video recording from the internal drive to the SD memory card when the memory becomes full. No need then to worry about running out of recording time during a thrilling, once-in-a-lifetime shot.

- 24p & 30p Frame Modes
24p Cinema Mode enables all aspiring moviemakers to achieve a professional "film-look." You can change the camcorder's frame capture rate to 24p (recorded at 60i), which provides the appearance of the same frame rate as movie film. In addition, you can use the VIXIA HF R10's CINE mode, which changes the color and tonal characteristics, evoking the look and feel of a movie shown in a theater. For added flexibility, these settings can be used together or independently. You would normally have to look to professional video cameras in order to find a sophisticated tool like 30p Progressive Mode at your command. In addition to the standard interlaced video frame rate of 60i, you may choose to set the VIXIA HF R10 to capture video in 30p, (30 progressive frames, recorded to 60i) which is particularly useful for footage to be used on the Internet.

To maximize the usefulness and versatility of the VIXIA HF R10, you'll find a range of terminals to extend the capabilities of your camcorder. Easy, one-cable connectivity to your HDTV is achieved through the VIXIA HF R10's HDMI Terminal which also supports CEC and x.v.Color. Special notes and conditions that apply when ordering this product
- Your shipping address and billing address must be the same.
- If purchasing with a credit card, we can only ship to the address registered with your card company.
- No returns or cancellations will be accepted unless the product is found to be defective.
- Product warranty is for one year after the date of purchase and is valid in Japan only. In case of product defects during that time you may send the product back to Japan for evaluation. Original warranty card must be attached and returns shipping will be paid by the customer.
- This product may take a week or more to ship after we receive the order.
- The format on Japanese camcorders is NTSC(The same as in the states). Other regions such as Europe use PAL. This does not affect viewing on PCs and most TVs and DVDs can playback both NTSC and Pal. However, you probably will not be able to directly plug in your camcorder to a PAL TV set to view NTSC footage. (Again, playback shouldn't be a problem for most TV sets but you should check first. Some old TV sets will not support NTSC even in playback.)
- The AC adapter for this product is 100-240V. The plug type will be Type A (which is the standard for many countries including the US and Japan. If your country has a different plug type you can purchase an adapter here.
- Please note that the video importing software packaged with this product (Pixela ImageMixer 3SE) can be installed in English, but is only available for Windows systems. It's really not a great piece of software, however, and you're not really missing out. If you are enthusiastic about video editing we recommend you try a commercial package such as Corel Video Studio Pro or Cyber Link Power Director. (Please double check their website to see which versions are compatible with your AVCHD camcorder. If you're a Mac user you can most likely use iMovie to import and edit footage without any problems. (But again, please check the specifications of your iMovie version to make sure it is compatible with this camcorder)
